We’ve worked hard to be able to demonstrate that our model portfolios represent good value for money. We wanted this assessment to be as objective as possible and rigorous enough that it would be beyond reproach.
We examined a wide range of features in addition to the obvious indicators of performance and cost. In examining between 24 and 30 features for each model portfolio, we ensure the assessment takes account of all the benefits and any detriments to your clients. Each of these factors is then scored as above, in line with, or below the level of service provided by other DFM services, based on industry-standard external benchmarks.
Extra weighting is then placed on features, like cost and performance, that have potentially the biggest impact on the achievement of your clients’ investment outcomes.
The total score is then compared with the number of features measured, or ‘scoring opportunities’, to establish whether the model portfolio is overall in line with or above peers and represents value for money (scoring above 100%) or is behind peers (scoring less than 100%) and provides some or limited value for money.
